Volunteers are trained to respectfully and compassionately help older adults and children with special needs and their families.  Volunteers are the heart of Faith in Action. By sharing a few minutes a month or an hour or two each week, you assure the well-being of your neighbors.

Volunteers opportunities (updated 8/19/10):

NEW! Garage sale companion- An elderly lady has asked if anyone would like to go to some garage sales once or from time to time. She does not drive but would love to get out to some garage sales as she is looking for some specific items that she could only find at a garage sale. The time window is very flexible.

Must love shopping!  Do you enjoy shopping? An elderly lady, with health limitations in Newberg needs help shopping 1 time a week. She would like to go to Safeway and Rite Aid. She prefers Tuesdays, but is open to other days. Starting September 7th.

Yardwork Maintenance for Couple- ongoing - A very nice couple in their 80’s in Newberg needs help with yardwork as on ongoing project. They have tried to keep up with it, and have done a pretty good job  They just needs help controlling the weeds and maintaining the yard. No mowing required. Great for a family project. Schedule flexible, suggested 2x month or 1x month starting now.

Exercise coaches -  Call Deana to find out how you can be a volunteer coach.  You can help others lead a healthy life and get your daily exercise in at the same time!
